Do you want to organize an activity with us?

Types of possible activities

The custom team-building activities we offer are mainly seasonal and related to ecological restoration and habitat improvement in forested areas:

​

  • between November and March: planting native trees and bushes.

  • between April and October: creation of ponds, invasive exotic plants control, plantations maintenance, fuel management, and use of dead wood to build biodiversity shelters​.

How can I get in touch and request a budget?

Just send an email to voluntariado@verde-associacao.pt with the planned number of participants and length of the activity (3 or 6 hours).

Frequent Questions

​When and where?

  • In Lousada, from Tuesday to Friday, depending of booking.

​What activities can be done?

  • Planting native trees and bushes;

  • Invasive exotic plants control;

  • Creation of ponds or other biodiversity shelters.

What is included?

  • Tools, protective gear and technical support during the activity;

  • Framing of the ecological relevance;

  • Snack with local products.

Do all corporate volunteer activities are held in Lousada?

  • There can be activities in other cities, depending on a prior agreement with VERDE.

Does VERDE provide transportation to the location?

  • Usually the company arranges the transportation.

Does VERDE guarantee personal accident insurance?

  • Usually employee’s insurance is handled by the company or organization.

Can I bring a photographer or videographer to the corporate volunteering event?

  • Yes, on corporate volunteer days there is no restriction. However, in case you choose Verde Days, since there will be more groups involved, we ask you not to. In that case, VERDE will handle and share the photographs.

What alternative activities are available?

  • You can freely participate on Verde Days, which are open events with limited spots. There should be a prior availability confirmation with VERDE. We also have indoor activities for building biodiversity shelters.

  • At last, and as an alternative to volunteering, we can arrange hikes to explore Green Giants.
