Ecosystem restoration and promotion of biodiversity

VERDE acknowledges as one of its pillars the ecological restoration of degraded areas and the promotion of biodiversity.

Evaluation + Implementation
After evaluating the ecological status of a given area, restoration activities are implemented to promote an increase in the ecological balance and the provision of ecosystem services in a particular site. These actions include the promotion of natural regeneration and afforestation of native forest species and the identification and control of invasive species.

Creation of Complementary Habitats
Creating habitats is also an effective way to develop the complexity of an ecosystem, exponentially increasing biodiversity and increasing its resilience. Bug hotels, nest boxes for birds and bats, ponds and deadwood structures are some of the artificial habitats we build.

All actions are carefully monitored to quantify their success and effectiveness.
